Carbon Monoxide Testing & Combustion Efficiency Analysis

This service is for anyone who is concerned about Carbon Monoxide (CO) poisoning or people interested in improving the efficiency of their main heating appliances. Carbon monoxide is the by-product of incomplete combustion in gas, propane, oil, wood, and other carbon/fossil fuel appliances. Electric burners can also create CO. To find out more about carbon monoxide, please click here for our Carbon Monoxide Information Page.

We are now certified by the National Comfort Institute (NCI) to perform Carbon Monoxide Testing & Combustion Efficiency Analysis. What that means is that we now stand with an elite group of 6000 contractors and inspectors across the nation that comprehensively understand the combustion process of your fuel burning equipment (furnace, boiler, water heater, oven, fireplace, dryer).

The standard test that most home inspectors and HVAC professionals use is based on faulty knowledge & procedures. If they are not certified by NCI, they are likely misinformed. The ability to understand what causes carbon monoxide lies within the understanding of the combustion process.

Applying the NCI Carbon Monoxide Inspection Protocol, we are able to fully evaluate all your combustion appliances, and determine if there is or likely will be problems in the future… even if carbon monoxide isn’t being produced the day of the inspection. No carbon monoxide today does not mean that a problem isn’t present!

The NCI Protocol is a time tested method of verifying the combustion process, and analyzing problem situations. Not only will we determine if there is a CO problem, we will also determine if there may be problems in the future. We will make direct diagnosis of the problem so that a NCI Certified HVAC Contractor can complete appropriate repairs for that diagnosis. The repairs for each diagnosis will vary, but not only will your home be safer, but it is likely there will be a significant, notable savings in fuel consumption.
